This Intranet architecture enables rapid application deployment and low cost of operation. Access SEMS through a standard web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator) from any PC within your domain. It is also possible to have SEMS accessed through Internet, in which case, your IT security may need to be enhanced. SEMS is designed to operate on any relational database systems. The application is written in VB Script or commonly known as Active Server Pages (ASP). The server component of SEMS only operates on MS NT and a network that supports TCP/IP. The system, once customized and installed has a permanent life-span. Where the organization's business strategy, performance expectations, etc. change over time, only the details will need to be re-customized to reflect the new reality - it is really a user-defined approach.
